Pollolo - POP Korean Street Food

100 mq | Milan | 2025

The project gives new energy to Pollolo’s identity, transforming it into a lively, youthful hangout spot.

By refreshing the visual language with bold colors, neon lights, and dynamic seating arrangements, the space captures the pop spirit of Korean street food while elevating the brand without losing its roots.

Challenge

Originally, the restaurant occupied only half the current space, with limited seating and a cashier placed directly in the passage between kitchen and tables. This created a congested flow and poor customer experience.

The challenge was to merge two shop units, reorganize circulation, add a cashier and bar counter with a self-service area, and at the same time design flexible seating that works for individuals as well as large groups and events.

The space was redesigned as an energetic corner of the city, inviting people to gather in a fun, comfortable environment.

Flexible seating allows tables to be combined for groups, while maintaining an efficient overall flow.

Materials and colors were chosen to strengthen the pop identity: metallic finishes referencing Korean food culture, warm wooden seating for comfort, and bold burgundy and yellow walls for vibrancy.

The bar counter and self-service unit combine retro white tiles with a glowing red accent, creating a striking focal point that reinforces the brand’s playful and pop character.
